Bio:
Age: ?
Why did you join the 52 Peak Club:
Date Completed all 52 Peaks: July 26th, 2015 (105th person to become a 53er)
Toughest Peak: Rainbow. I was coming out of an Achilles injury and this was my first hike in months. My conditioning was not good. It was hot and I ran out of water. I started having horrible leg cramps. I cracked my head on a tree limb. And I lost my wallet. But I made it!
Favorite Hike: So many. Holiday Peak with the slots, Lost Peak with the dizzying ledge and White Pinnacle with the razor edge. If I had to choose one: Triple Crown with a rappel.
How did you feel once you became a 53er: It was a sense of personal satisfaction. I had achieved a great feat and in the process had a lot of fun.
Advice for new hikers: Invest in good shoes. Always carry more water than you think you need. Between hikes work on your aerobic conditioning and flexibility. Don't worry if you cannot summit a peak. You can come back another day. It ain't going anywhere. More importantly, have fun!
