Gary Ginsburg
Bio: I am from Connecticut and have loved the outdoors from the time I was 10. I have hiked the Adirondacks , The Olympics, Glacier National Park and much of the Wonderland trail in Washington state. Since moving to Vegas in 2012, I have devoted myself to the beautiful surrounding in Vegas by being a part of this great Club.
Age: 61
Why did you join the 52 Peak Club: To get in shape while doing something that I love
Date Completed all 52 Peaks: Nov. 30 2017
Toughest Peak: : Charleston peak, for length , altitude, and not being at my best, Ice Box Peak, White Pinnacle- exposure
Favorite Hike: Several faves, including; Bridge Mountain, Mescalito and Lost Creek. Many others could be favorites, but on these hikes, it just felt special.
How did you feel once you became a 53er: Most of them! Juniper, Windy, Pine Creek, always the organizers and the people that make each hike special.
Advice for new hikers: Never be afraid to ask for webbing!! Stay with the organizer, and pay attention, one foot in front of the other. You will be surprised at what you can do! Soon 10 cards turn to 20 then 30 then 52!!! Never let your circumstances get in the way of your vision!!
