Jeff Graves
Bio:
I was in the U.S. Navy from 86-89. I moved to Las Vegas in 98' from Chicagoland. I've been in the casino business for 22 years. The first time I saw Red Rock it was love!
Age: 46
Why did you join the 52 Peak Club:
A friend told me about Meetup and the sky's opened up. I started with a trail group and quickly lost interest. Susan Davies told me about the 52 Peak Club and how cool Sin and Sharyaar are. I was hooked from the first hike!
Date Completed all 52 Peaks: July 4th, 2015
Toughest Peak: Wilson, Rainbow and Bridge 360! Mummy's Tummy in the snow!
Favorite Hike: White Pinnacle, Rainbow. Lost Peak/Graffiti Traverse. Tunnel Vision. Anything with insane scrambling!
How did you feel once you became a 53er: A feeling of elation and bonding. I have met the greatest friends in Hiking Las Vegas!
Advice for new hikers:
For starters; Shoes! Sticky rubber soles. A quality insole. Hydration backpack not bottled water. A desire to improve. With every hike your confidence and competence will grow. And lastly if you are not that fast and afraid the group may leave you, make sure you are the carpool driver!
