Bio: I grew up in Eden Utah then moved to the "big" city of Ogden when I was 12. Tried out the various neighborhoods around before finally deciding on North Ogden. My schooling took me to Salt Lake City where I decide I could live anywhere. To put that theory to the test I tried Las Vegas.

Why did you join the 52 Peak Club: After living in Vegas for 5 years I was trying to decide if I really wanted to stay or if I was ready for a change. I first joined another hiking group and heard about this crazy group of hikers. I had to give them a shot. At first I wasn't sure, but I found myself on a hike with Bill Suiter and great group of people and I have got to say I was hooked.
Date Completed all 52 Peaks: Jan 26, 2014 (60th person to become a 53er)
Toughest Peak: McFarland, but not for the same reasons as most people. It was a good hike. The hike didn't take too long. This is a challenging hike. My body complained about this hike for days afterwards. I'm not sure I will be attempting this hike again. . . ever.
Favorite Hike: I would have to say Global Peak. It has a little bit of everything. And it always helps when you're hiking with your friends.
How did you feel once you became a 53er: Relive, excited and ready for the next challenge
Advice for new hikers: Start slow. Stick with it. Its one card at a time. Find a group of friends. You don't have to do this solo if you don't want to. There's plenty of people out there to help encourage you. It turns hiking from a workout to a social event. It makes it much more fun. Hiking and getting the cards is just as important as seeing your friends.
