Bio: I moved here to Henderson in 2011, from Wisconsin, with husband Sam Chen, who is also a 53er. I have an adult daughter and a teenager son.

Age: 46

Why did you join 52 Peak Club:  Before joining 52 Peak Club, I was a stay at home mom. I never liked to exercise, indoors or outdoors. Then, one day Sam came home from his hiking and showed me the pictures he took at the peak with other hikers. I was amazed looking at the people standing on top of the peak.  It got me excited and I wanted to try. It was White Pinnacle Peak that got me wanted to join the 52 Peak Club.  I made a promise to myself: if I ever, one day get to stand on top of White Pinnacle Peak, I will join the 52 Peak Club. On May 18, 2015 White Pinnacle was posted by Dinorah and my friend Rita was on the hike too. She told me to sign up and said I could do it. So I did. It was a hard and very challenging hike for me. I was so excited that I screamed loud when I was the first person to reach the Peak. With Rita's encouragement, White Pinnacle came to be my first card hike.

Date Completed all 52 Peaks: October 8th, 2016 (126 person to become a 53er)

Toughest Peak: Ice Box and Holiday Peak

Favorite Peak: White Pinnacle and Ice Box Peak

How did you feel once you became a 53er: I feel proud, accomplished, more confident, and relieved.  If I can do it, so can you. Have fun and enjoy hiking with the group.
