Robert Krimmer
Video of Bobby receiving his 53er Plaque on Rainbow Peak.
Bio: Prior to retirement, I enjoyed two professional careers spanning forty years: 1. A career as an attorney representing California public agencies on environmental matters; and, 2. A career as a theatre and television performer perhaps best known for my long-running role as Reverend Andrew Carpenter on ABC’s daytime drama “One Life to Live.”
In retirement, I work as a certified search and rescue volunteer with Red Rock Search and Res
cue. In addition, I am an avid hiker and backpacker. Over the past three years, I have thru-hiked the Grand Canyon (both Rim to Rim and Rim to Rim to Rim), Zion National Park’s West Rim, Virgin River Rim Trail, Ruby Crest National Recreation Trail, John Muir Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail and, most recently, the 500 mile Colorado Trail. God willing, I intend to hike the 2600 mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2019.
I am grateful to my wonderful and supportive wife, Chris, and my two adult children for their patient support as I pursue my passion for outdoor adventure.
Age: 64
Why I joined the 52 Peak Club: I had recently retired and was looking for new inspiration and goals
Date Completed: 10/14/2018
Toughest Peak: Mt. Wilson
Favorite Hike: Mt. Charleston
How Did I Feel When Done: A sense of athletic accomplishment.
Advice for New Hikers: Hike your own hike, but be willing to learn from others & trust your gut on the trail.
