Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a card for a multi-peak hike?
The only recognized multi-peak hikes that you can earn multiple cards are:
I’ve already hiked to that peak before, can I just get the card?
No, your hike must be registered in our club's meetup site and the hike must be led by one of our hike volunteers. We are about the journey, not the destination.
I am complete with my Red Rock cards and waiting for the snow to melt on Mt Charleston, can I just start a new deck now?
No. You must be completely finished with your current deck to start a new one. If you hike to the same peak multiple times during your deck, you will still receive mileage/elevation credit on the card tracker.
How can I become a celebrity in the Las Vegas hiking community?
Collect all cards to complete the 52 Peak Challenge! 😊...Upon completion of each deck of cards, you will earn the title of 53er, awarded a plaque, entered into the Hall of Fame and host a celebration hike. Because hikers love hiking to these peaks, it isn't uncommon for someone to hike multiple times to the same peak. Only one card of each suit and value must be earned (per deck) to qualify for the plaque and entrance to the Hall of Fame. Less than 7% of club members have completed all 52 Peaks. Celebration hikes are your official 53er hike. They are scheduled about every 3-4 months and we encourage your family and friends to attend. Waiver releases and club membership are not requried for celebration hikes.
