Frequently asked questions
The 52 Peak Club is a Las Vegas-based hiking club that explores 52 of the area's top hiking locations. After completing each hike, participants earn a poker card representing that hike. Once you finish all 52 hikes, you earn the title "Finisher," a plaque, and a joker card.
How much does it cost to join the 52 Peak Club - Vegas Explorer Deck?
It’s free to join—no membership fee! We welcome hikers of all ages, but minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dogs are allowed on a case-by-case basis. There’s a $25 annual fee for liability insurance, covering you in case of injury to another hiker.
🏔️ Do I have to participate in the 52 Peak Challenge (collect cards)? 🏔️
Yes! All first-timers are required to start collecting cards during their hike. You can pay for your card at the summit with cash or Zelle, and there’s even a prepaid option with a 10% discount.
Not interested in collecting cards? We kindly ask that you skip our hikes and explore other clubs that suit your preferences. Repeat hikes to the same location don’t require you to collect cards again.
I’ve done this hike before. Can I still get the card?
No, but kind of. You must be a registered hiker on our Meetup site, and the hike needs to be led by one of our volunteers. If you have a "Member +" account, you can lead your own hikes and earn cards.
Can I take my family or friends on the hike?
Yes! The Vegas Explorer Deck is designed to help you lead yourself, family, and friends on hikes—whether they’re club members or not. However, only registered hikers can earn cards and qualify for recognition.
What is a Member + account, and how do I get one?
A Member + account allows you to lead your own hikes and track your progress in the card tracker. After completing your hike, you award yourself the card and send payment via Zelle. It’s perfect for hikers who prefer flexibility or don’t want to hike in a group.
How can I become a Las Vegas hiking celebrity?
Complete the 52 Peak Challenge! 😊 Once you finish, you’ll earn a plaque, be entered into the Hall of Fame, and celebrate with a special hike.

Take your time—there’s no deadline. Some finish in under a year, while others take several years.
